What you find here
For every series we tell you three things first: is it finished, who reads it, and how heavy the stats are. Then we tell you where to start and in which order to listen. Right now the site covers 16 series, 13 narrators and 4 guides.
How we work
These are selection guides, not a record of books we have personally finished. Research and editing tools, including AI, help prepare the pages. Series notes link to author, publisher and audiobook pages. Narrator profiles also draw on published reviews and identify their sources.
We separate facts from judgments. Book order, narrator credits and edition details can be checked against sources. Our fit notes and stat-density labels are editorial judgments, not test scores or measured shares of listening time. A short sample helps you judge a voice, but cannot show every kind of scene.
Listening totals add the rounded lengths in our main-story lists at normal speed. Packs count once; extra collections are excluded. “Complete” means the main story has an ending in audio. “Ongoing” means it is unfinished. “On hold” is our label for a long release gap, not an author’s announcement of cancellation.
Checks are dated, not continuous. Store listings can include duplicate editions or future releases. The visible book list explains what our count includes; check your own store before buying. We do not currently show release years because the older research mixes editions.
The book artwork on this site is simple art made with code, not the real covers. Cover art belongs to publishers and artists, and we only show real covers once a store licenses them to us. Use the store’s title and narrator credits to check the audio you are buying.
How we earn money
Store links may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Our guides group choices by reader needs; their order is not a sales ranking. Read our affiliate disclosure and privacy notice for details.
The name
"Music to my ears" is what people say when they hear something they were hoping for. For us, that is a great narrator opening a new book in a long RPG series.
